100 Best Canadian Films – André Loiselle

The subjects include: Michel Brault, Denys Arcand, theatre and the cinema, and most recently Canadian horror films. It’s an impressive selection of titles that the Carlton film studies professor André Loiselle has published over the years. The books themselves bring together insightful analysis, detailed research and original methodologies that helped create such a high standard for the writing of Canadian cinema in academia. I’m very happy to be sharing his list.
Just a reminder that 100 Best Canadian Films are personal surveys of some of the most important works of the nation’s film history. It's an open survey so please feel free to let me know if yourself, or someone you know, wants to contribute! Other contributors include Paul WilliamsGreg Klymkiw, Pat MullenJason AndersonDaniel KremerYves Lever, Piers HandlingMarcel JeanMike Hoolboom and myself. – D.D.
